Samba Catering Co. was founded by husband and wife team, Samba and Krystal, in 2015 and has become a firm favourite on the catering and foodie scene between Brisbane and Byron Bay. We believe in the magic of food that brings us together, creating a strong sense of community and connection.
We promise you authentic Spanish and South American dishes meticulously crafted from the freshest ingredients and served with flawless execution. Our display cooking stations will evoke the senses, creating interest and intrigue for your guests that will entertain and impress from the moment the garlic sizzles in the paella pan.
We’re well known for bringing a good dose of fun and personality to the table, which animates our events in a way that leaves guests wanting more. Our team love what we do and our energy is infectious. You could say it’s a vibe.

You’ll find us serving up Spanish Paella and Brazilian Moqueca at Miami Marketta every Friday and Saturday evening, popping up at local festivals and events, as well as treating guests to the bold flavours and textures of Spanish Paella and char-grilled barbeque skewers at private and corporate functions.
Hailing from the small town of Lençóis in Brazil’s Northern Eastern State of Bahia, Samba has been passionate about food and cooking for as long as he can remember. His obsession with flavour coupled with his experience chefing in busy restaurants and the fast-paced catering industry set a strong foundation for Samba to pursue his dream of creating a food business of his own. While Krystal’s strong background in event management combined with a decade of experience in accounting administration, make her a formidable business partner.
